VBA Practice & Training Schedule for the week of August 31, 2015 through September, 7, 2015. *

As with the new AAU season starting on 9/1/15 - each team will be moving up!  Our current 9U team will be recognized as 10U, 10U as 11U etc.

We will be obtaining new AAU cards for the new season.  For the new players who registered this summer and paid the  start up fee (mostly from our 8Us and 12U Manansala teams), there will be no renewal fee, as we did not purchase aau cards for them for the 2014-2015 season. 

For everyone else, we will have to get new AAU cards for the 2015-2016 season. The renewal fee is $50 (this is in addition to any monthly dues).  It is a one time fee for the new season. There is a renewal link on our website www.visionbasketball.org. We will purchase your AAU card once we receive payment. 

This AAU card is required for a player to be covered under our Vision insurance and to be able to join AAU sanctioned tournaments.   

We should also make sure that TMs collect Birth Certificates and AAU cards from all players.  A team that participated in the TOC (a different organization) got challenged and when unable to provide documents, they had to forfeit.  We have to make sure that never happens to any of our Vision teams.

We are still working on renewing our approval for McGrath.  If we get approved for the new year we will resume skills training there.

No Skills Training this Sunday 9/6/15 @ MCG as the gym is unavailable.

We are looking to implement some standard plays and play calls that all of our teams (8U to Varsity) can use.  This is in addition to any plays that your respective teams already have.  Many of our teams share players on some weekends.  Example: A 12U player playing on our 13U team or a 9U player helping out our 10U team.  If all of our teams call our full court man-to-man press "Louisville" or our 2-3 defense "Syracuse" or our 2-3 trap "Orangemen", it will be easier for our players to assist other teams.

Mandatory Coaches' Clinic with Damany Hendrix and Benny Gipson. Parents who are interested in learning and seeing some of the new plays that we will implement are welcome to come too. 

Demonstration team will be 12U Elite/12U Manansala - 6:30pm - 8:00pm. 

We are looking to standardize our play calling from our 8U teams to our Varsity teams. We want to implement certain offensive/defensive sets that all Vision teams will know and run.

8/16/15 - 12U Boys Champions - Vision Elite

After a little hiatus the boys hit the ground running beating Santa Rosa Hawks, Generals and Alameda Vipers.  The boys looked good, sharing the ball and putting in work!  They beat every team by double digits.  We will look to play stronger competition moving forward.  12Us are back in the gym tomorrow.  Bring your jump ropes, knee pads and work ethic.  See you there!

8/9/15 - Vision (Rogers) - 1st Place at the Sports Jqu Tournament!

Our Vision (Rogers) 10U team went to Alameda for the Sports Jqu tournament and came out on top! They defeated Oakland PAL, Alameda Vipers and 5A Athletes!

VBA @ the 2015 Ball is Life Jr. All American Camp

On July 31,2015 to August 2, 2015, six of our Vision Basketball Academy players attended the BILJAA Camp in Anaheim,Ca. 

The camp featured 550 of the top players  from 39 different states.  Our boys were able to showcase the hard work they have put in throughout the year and it showed!  We are very proud of you!!!
